In fact, one person even called it “the bloodiest war in US history” (source: civilwar.org). In order to commemorate this event, we created a Civil War events map that details where battles were fought, on what day, and more.. In the United States one of the most challenging and polarizing issues that we face is slavery. The issue of slavery split the nation nearly in two causing a brutal civil war to be fought resulting in the deaths of nearly 700,000 individuals. The U.S. Civil War Map not only helps show the history but also map out of battles from this momentous conflict.. I’m fascinated by the history of the American Civil War. There are so many interesting and amusing events that have unfolded during the war, which is why I decided to create a map based on these events.
